Five week course Mondays 11am-12pm, 3 June - 1 July 2024
£40 per adult and child pair, all materials included plus 1 copy of the book we make!

A 5-week picture book making group for babies/toddlers 0-3 and their carers, combining sensory engagement and communication skills for baby/toddler, with drawing and writing activities for carers. Expect songs, messy play and creative story-making as we work towards creating a brand new picture book about what it's like to look after a tiny person - as well as what it's like to be tiny!

This course is in partnership with Artpocket, and supported by Norfolk County Council’s Art Project Fund.

Playing with Stories
Free, online storytime sessions with i3 Parent Hub, designed for Cambridgeshire families but open to all. For children 0-4 and their adults.

Monday mornings 9.30-10.15am, 15, 22, 29 April, and 20 May 2024

Aims of the four week course:

– Encourage a love of books and stories within the whole family through playing with picture books
– Increase confidence your own ability as a storyteller
– Learn ways in which looking at stories together can boost communication skills for children aged 0-4

In each session we will:

– Have a storytime, with props and singing and silliness, modelling ways you can use books at home beyond a straight forward reading
– Meet a homemade ‘puppet’ or character made from bits and bobs, linked to the theme
– Suggest and model a craft/ activity/ adventure you could do at home
– Share an idea to grow at home to do with communication skills
